- fever
- irritability and restlessness
- loss of appetite
- rolling of head from side to side
- pulling on or rubbing the ear
- earache or pain
- signs of hearing loss
- purulent ear drainage
"ADMINISTRATION OF MEDICATION"
- In a child younger than age 3, pull the lobe down and back.
- In a child older than 3 years old, pull the pinna up and back.
